Bain & Company reported new collaboration promotion

Bain & Company, a leading global management consulting firm, has strengthened its Middle East team with the announcement of three new partner promotions: Patrick Akl, Federico Piro, and Antoine Dargham. They will help deliver Bain’s goal to steer regional clients toward success on a local and global level.

Patrick Akl has been working at Bain since 2014 and is a member of the firm’s Energy & Natural Resources and Chemicals practices. Patrick is based in Bain’s Middle East office and previously worked in the Dallas office. He has led projects for private and public sector clients in the Middle East, the United States, and Europe across a variety of sectors, including energy, utilities, and real estate development, with extensive experience in the petrochemical industry. Patrick’s expertise covers strategy and operating model development, sustainability and energy efficiency, performance improvement, and M&A.

Prior to joining Bain, Patrick worked as a senior engineer for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), a global semiconductor company based in North America. He contributed to the development of microprocessor chips for the server and personal computer markets.

Patrick holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master of Applied Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer and Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut.

Federico Piro has been working with Bain since 2016, becoming a core member of the Consumer Products practice in Bain’s Milan office. He moved to the Middle East office in 2019. Federico has worked with many large consumer goods companies, spanning food & beverage, consumer electronics, and home care. Federico’s consulting experience spans across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, working with senior executives and management teams for both local and international clients. He specializes in corporate strategy, route-to-market, distribution, and accelerated transformation and has also performed key diligences for both corporate and private equity funds.

Prior to joining Bain, Federico worked for Procter & Gamble’s finance organization across several business units.

Federico holds a Master of Science degree in General Management from Luiss University in Rome and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Luiss Business School.

Antoine Dargham has been working with Bain since 2020 in the Public Sector and Government practice with a focus on cities and urban development. Antoine started his consulting career in 2015 with another global management consulting firm in the Middle East. His consulting experience includes working in the Middle East and Asia, with expertise in the public sector and energy & natural resources industries. He currently advises cities in the region on a range of strategic topics, including public-private partnerships, asset monetization, urban regeneration, parks strategies, and waste management, among other topics.

Prior to consulting, Antoine spent several years working in the downstream oil and gas sector (in sales and marketing) with a major international company in Canada.

Antoine completed his MBA from INSEAD and has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Montreal.
