DIV Industrial, an institutional-level investor and developer of industrial real estate, yesterday announced the appointment of Tom Donahue as Partner and Head of Development. Donahue is a well-known development professional within the commercial real estate industry who brings over 20 years of construction and development experience to his new role. His expertise and proven track record bolsters DIV Industrial’s capabilities and position as a leader in sustainable development within the industrial sector.

In his new role, Donahue oversees all activities for DIV Industrial’s ground-up development projects, leading project site pursuit, land due diligence, entitlement, design, and construction. His responsibilities include project budgeting, cost management, and managing the firm’s streamlined development team. Donahue works closely with municipalities and regional stakeholders throughout the asset planning and delivery process, while championing best practices and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.

Prior to joining DIV Industrial, Donahue held the position of Managing Director at Moote, where he excelled in providing due diligence, entitlement, pre-construction, and on-site construction management for property owners. Previously, he served as Vice President, Development Officer, at Prologis, the world’s largest industrial developer. During his tenure there, he led a high-performing team, achieving a milestone of $1.6 billion in developments under construction in 2022 within Southern California’s Inland Empire industrial market. Donahue also played a pivotal role in implementing corporate initiatives related to safety, sustainability, and cost-efficiency models.
At DIV Industrial, Donahue is currently focused on the development of the firm’s first ground-up construction project, El Dorado Valley Logistics Center, a new 1.7-million-square-foot Class A industrial complex. At completion, the cutting-edge, modern facility will be LEED certified and establish a new distribution location in the Western U.S., providing an alternative and efficient connection point between key regional logistics hubs.
