Grange Insurance Company announced that Kyle Welch has been named the company’s Vice President of Commercial Lines Underwriting for the East Region covering Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia, effective Feb. 12.
“Kyle has successfully led our Sales and Marketing Strategy and Operations for the past five years and has a proven track record of driving results for our agent partners,” said John North, President of Commercial Lines. “Kyle’s deep knowledge of our distribution strategy and extensive commercial lines background make him a perfect fit for this role.”
Welch has 17 years of experience in the P&C insurance industry, and eight years with Grange. He began his career with Grange as a Commercial Lines Underwriter and then went on to hold several leadership positions with Encova Insurance, including Assistant Vice President, P&C Sales, Assistant Vice President, Marketing Development, Commercial Lines Business Development Manager and District Sales Manager. In his most recent role as VP, Sales and Marketing Strategy and Operations at Grange, he has led the evolution of the enterprise’s agent distribution strategy.
Welch holds a bachelor’s degree in financial planning with a focus on insurance and risk management from The Ohio State University and has received his CPCU designation.
