VISA appoints Frank Cooper III as global CMO

VISA recently announced that Frank Cooper III will be joining the firm in May 2022 as its CMO. VISA also confirmed that Cooper will also be serving as a member of the company’s Executive Committee, reporting to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Al Kelly.

VISA sources confirmed that Cooper will power the global marketing organization to drive demand for our products, services, and solutions. Additionally, he will lead all facets of the brand, from amplifying our purpose through campaigns and activations to delivering value with our global sponsorships. Cooper comes to Visa after five years at BlackRock as Senior Managing Director and Global CMO.

VISA also reaffirmed that on the professional front, Cooper’s extensive experience spanning global technology, entertainment, consumer products, and financial services brands will be helping out in their overall expansion.

Prior to BlackRock, Cooper served as Chief Marketing and Creative Officer at BuzzFeed and as CMO of Global Consumer Engagement for PepsiCo’s Global Beverage Group. He also served as an executive at Motown and Def Jam.

Cooper was recognized by Fast Company as one of the “100 Most Creative People in Business,” was a four-time recipient of Billboard’s “Power 100” award, and was a winner of AdColor’s “Legend” award.

Cooper earned a professional JD from Harvard Law School and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
