Wedbush Securities, a diversified, independent financial services providers, announced the appointment of Jeff Smits, CRPC® as Vice President of Investments in the firm’s Newport Beach office. In his role, Smits will be reporting to Doug Ireland, Senior Vice President, Market Manager covering the Newport Beach, San Diego, Scottsdale, and Honolulu offices of Wedbush.

With 17 years in the finance industry, Smits’ breadth of experience and challenges have fostered a highly adaptable and well-versed financial approach for his clients. Prior to joining Wedbush, Smits began his career at Morgan Stanley, then moved to Stifel Nicolaus, and most recently served seven years as a financial advisor at Edward Jones. Smits will provide Wedbush with a fresh perspective from his past array of experience and roles. The choice to move to Wedbush derives from Smits’ commitment to provide clients with the best opportunities and investments.
