Starr Insurance recently announced the appointment of Sean Chen, a member of Starr’s global team for 14 Years, as the Starr International Insurance (Singapore) Pte. Singapore”) CEO effective August 28th, 2023.
Sean was most recently Regional Manager for Starr’s Real Estate, Energy, and Construction businesses in South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. He previously worked as a senior real estate underwriter in the firm’s Hong Kong office. Industry sources added that Sean has over 25 years of underwriting and client relationship experience in insurance companies and brokerage businesses.
According to Industry sources, Sean has succeded Phil Finley as the CEO of Starr Singapore. Phil was recently relocated to Thailand as Chief Executive Officer of Starr International Insurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited, where he oversaw this important new corporate expansion for the firm while continuing to lead Starr’s Asia business as President, of Asia Pacific.
